movingWell, I can officially say last week was EXHAUSTING! We moved out of our rental, moved everything to our new house, Samantha christened the home with a 24 hour stomach bug (vomite everywhere…lovely), and then 3 days later we left for our week long family vacation. So basically I had to locate all our stuff in boxes, unpack them, and then pack them again in our luggage lol. Oh, and on our way to vacation Samantha got car sick and puked some more. Those of you who know me closely know puking is probably the worst thing in the world to me that I avoid like the plague. As a kid if anyone in my family got sick, I would spray my bedroom door with lysol as if I was preparing for passover and would stay in my room until everyone was well. But I will say…. they weren’t lying when everyone says it’s different when it’s your own kid. I totally when into mom mode and as unpleasant as it was, I was able to clean it up and still nuzzle and love on my girl when she was sick.

I’m still on vacation, but had a little time to write while putting Samantha down for nap. I’m really going to soak up the vacation time because when we go home, I’m going full steam ahead with unpacking, painting, and planning demolition stuff. We have some exciting things in store for the new house and I CANNOT WAIT to get my hands dirty.

Photos below are of my new ikea door mat (first purchase for the house), Samantha peeling wallpaper off the walls, and a tomato out of our garden.
