So remember how we weren’t feeling very good earlier this month? Well, I didn’t blog about it here at all, but after that post, May has turned out to be a very… VERY long sick month. We all had a cold, but it turned into a double ear infections for Sean, and on top of that he got Roseola. This is all very familiar since this also happend to Samantha when she was around Sean’s age. Lots of days with fevers over 103F and fussy kids. That lasted for at least 2 weeks. Then after visiting a family camp (more pictures about that soon) Brad and Samantha both came down with a really intense flu. I’m praying Sean and I don’t get it. I hope that if I do get it, it’s after everyone else is healthy again. Samantha had a scary day where she vomited and had a fever of 104.6 (this was yesterday). I was two seconds from taking her to the ER, but the on call nurse convinced me to wait a bit and I’m glad I did. Samantha’s Tylenol kicked in and her fever dropped. She woke up with no fever this morning, so I’m hoping that part of the illness is over.  There’s definitely been more sick days than not this month and I’m really hoping June is filled with fun birthdays (Sean’s ), pool days, and adventurous outings. Hopefully we’ll be set for the rest of the summer with no more bugs… but that might be wishful thinking. Definitely these sick days are the part of mothering I try to purge from my memory. I used to kind of like when my kids got sick because of how cuddly they are…. I still feel the same way when it comes to common colds, but NOT when it’s a real illness like the flu. It is just down right sad watching your child suffer from the flu. All you want to do is give that flu a swift kick in the pants out your door and make that sweet baby girl feel better. Get out of my house flu!

The photo above is a flower Samantha picked for me on one of the very few days where no one was sick. BTW I’m working on a neat segment I’m adding to the blog that I’m really excited to share with you all. Still working out some kinks, but it’s almost done. Stay tuned!

Oh my goodness, all that sickness! I hope it’s out of your systems (literally) for the summer so you can enjoy all that you’ve got planned for June. Sounds like it has the potential to be a pretty awesome month. :)

    Hope you’re all feeling better!

Oh my God. That flu is awful. Mila had that stomach thing a few weeks ago. No throw up, but the other thing (also awful) and a couple days of fevers of 103 and 104. Seriously awful. And she didn’t eat much for like a week! Anyway, it passed as they do, but it was very challenging for her and probably more so for Mama! Hope it’s out of your house now!

I am so sorry to hear about all the sickness. It is so hard when the littles get sick, especially with the tummy flu. You feel so bad for them!

Fingers crossed for you guys to not have the tummy thing travel to anyone else!

I definitely hope that this month is a better month for you all in terms of getting rid of the sickies! I know what’s it like to have a household where as soon as one person gets better another one gets sick and it just keeps going around and around. No bueno at all.
