Samantha preventing Daddy from going to work
I’m sitting on my couch right now and it’s still Sunday, Fathers day. Brad is next to me watching Nascar (a regular thing here on the weekends), Samantha is laughing in the guest room with my mother, and I’m tired but feeling very fulfilled by the day (still pregnant btw, due date is Wed). I didn’t take too many detailed pictures of our day because I’m at the point in pregnancy where I only have the energy to either enjoy the surroundings, or stay busy taking pictures. I’ve lost the extra stamina to multitask both. But I can tell you it was filled with a lovely cool breeze from Half Moon Bay, stinky ponies from a really awesome farm we visited and will return to especially when it’s pumpkin season. The day also consisted of BBQing burgers, corn on the cob, eating outdoors, a short walk, and watching my little girl bring 3 Fathers day cards to her daddy. One from her, one from me, and one from the pooch.

Oh, and one new development around here is Samantha is now calling Brad daddy instead of dadda. It pretty much happened all on it’s own. I’ve probably called Brad “daddy” to Samantha MAYBE 2 or 3 times and she just really picked up on it. Brad’s not too happy about it either. He’s missing the dadda stage.
I’m so thankful Brad is a natural with the Father thing. He’s got the love, patience and energy she needs him to have, but the wisdom and discernment on how to lead her as well. She absolutely adores him and watching their relationship blossom is so special and precious. Watching her delight in seeing him walk in the door everyday when he gets home is the best thing ever! God has really blessed us as a family.

Happy fathers day Brad! We love you!!!
