Fall triggers the comfort food season for me. Especially the sweets. The air starts to get cold so I drink sweet hot beverages and a lot of chocolate get mixed into my menu. Now that Halloween is pretty much over, the candy craze will die down a bit, but Thanksgiving is just around the bend with all the wonderful food that goes along with it. Ever since we’ve moved into our new place I’ve been doing a lot more cooking and baking. I even got adventurous and made souffles for the first time. It was so much fun and so yummy. It’s one of my favorite things about being a girl. I love being domestic. I’m thankful God made me this way.

    Oh man that coffee drink by the french press looks SO yummy! Tell me how to make it again Former-Barista!

    Ok….So easy, all it really is is half milk and half coffee in the mug with a shot (1 1/2 oz) of vanilla if you like it a little sweeter.

    - I usually do 2 scoops of course coffee (I recently bought Hawaiian Hazelnut from Henry’s)

    - In my mug I fill up some milk a little less than half way in the mug. Heat that up for 1 minute in the microwave. (what I do is once the kettle starts whistling, I pour into the french press, then I hit the 1 minute on the microwave for the milk. So the coffee only steeps for a minute.)

    - Remember if you are only making it for yourself, it’s only half coffee in the mug so you don’t have to pour that much water into the french press.

    - Once everything is steeped and hot, pour the shot of vanilla in the mug, pour the coffee in the mug with at least an inch of room for whipped cream and viola!
